Will Hunter Actually Be Held Accountable, or is This All Just For Show?

In a rare case of a Democrat -- let alone a Biden- being held accountable for any illegal activity, Hunter Biden appears to be heading to trial on felony gun charges after an appellate court denied his request to dismiss the charges. 

This sets the stage for a high-stakes criminal trial scheduled for next month in Delaware. This development follows a previous rejection by a federal judge in Delaware of Biden's appeal to dismiss the case, stemming from his indictment last year.

Federal prosecutors have levied three charges against Hunter Biden, including two counts of alleged false statements made during the gun purchase process and a third count for possessing the firearm while using illegal drugs.

Hunter Biden “provided a written statement on Form 4473 certifying he was not an unlawful user of, and addicted to, any stimulant, narcotic drug, and any other controlled substance, when in fact, as he knew, that statement was false and fictitious,” according to the indictment. 

It’s a federal crime to lie on that ATF form or to possess a firearm as a drug user. 

Special Counsel David Weiss has led the investigation into Hunter Biden since late 2018, digging into possible felony tax evasion, illegal foreign lobbying, money laundering, and other issues primarily connected to Hunter Biden's international business ventures - many of which involve Joe.

In addition to the gun case, Weiss is contemplating whether to pursue tax-related charges against Hunter Biden. In a recent court submission, he stated that a trial is warranted regarding the tax offenses and hinted at the possibility of filing tax charges, potentially in California or Washington, DC.

If you’ve become as skeptical of “justice” as I have, you might be wondering if Hunter is merely being offered up as a flare intended to divert an incoming missile away from his father’s own criminal activity and have some sliver of defense against the accusations of political persecution against Trump.  Perhaps the thinking is that if we are at least given the illusion that Hunter is being held accountable, too, we will somehow forget everything else we are seeing and experiencing, and if he is actually convicted and sent to jail (yeah right) that somehow balances the scale.

That’s how stupid the Left thinks we are.

At least 2024 isn’t boring.
