Disobedient but Decent: Tucker Carlson’s Opening for Kid Rock is Packed With Patriotism

“The country they tell me about on the internet is f*cked up. The country that I experience when I walk through this crowd, or when I wake up in my town of 100 people… is a beautiful country”

That’s just one of the lines Tucker laid on the crowd of over 20,000 people in small town Louisiana last night. And it pretty much nails what we all see and know ourselves. What makes it hit home even harder is that Tucker isn’t trying to be a lighthouse of liberty in a sea of lunacy- He just is.

Let’s take a look at the messages this “unemployed talk show host” as he described himself last night, manages to convey with or without meaning to:

  • While still a gainful employee at Fox, Tucker showed the world that we are all going to have to be willing to sacrifice something in order to peak up and push back against the lunacy crashing through our nation. His protest was refusing to allow his integrity to be compromised.

  • When the ax did fall and he was in fact fired, he at first celebrated his liberation. He recognized that holding on to the illusion of happiness - AKA his career at Fox- can in fact hold you back from true happiness, and he flipped his firing into newfound free time with his family.

  • He found an abundance of new doors opening, once he stepped through the threshold from a world that tried to control him, to a world that cannot control him.

  • He sat across from our country’s biggest adversaries, in a situation in which his own freedom was in a vulnerable position - and asked for the freedom of a fellow American. He put his own well-being at risk in an attempt to rescue another.

  • He maintains his sense of humor.

Finally, the best line he had last night was the one in which he described Kid Rock and applied this description to Americans: We are disobedient but decent.

I love that line. I love that message. If you are like millions of Americans who were raised to be obedient, if you are in a relationship in which you have learned that painful obedience is preferable to the pain of disobedience- This is your battle cry too.

Disobey. Challenge. Question. But maintain your decency to yourself, your family, your community, and your country. Disobey in a way that defends the core values this country is built on. Disobey in a way that fulfills your faith, and you will find freedom on the other side of the struggle. No- I take that back- you will find freedom in the struggle.

The View's Sunny Hostin says eclipse, earthquakes, and cicadas are due to "climate change"

The View's Sunny Hostin combines an embarrassing lack of intelligence with unbelievably shocking arrogance, which is the least charming form of stupidity.

Ancient civilizations thought the solar eclipse was a dragon devouring the sun.

In 2024, the ladies of The View think it’s a result of climate change.

GOOD NEWS CORNER

HOME ALONE: Fetterman Breaks Ranks with Democrats on Pivotal Issue Plaguing Homeowners.

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman ripped the idea of “squatter’s rights” during an exclusive interview with The Post this week.

“Squatters have no rights,” Fetterman said, adding that the issue was one he often dealt with when he was mayor of working-class Braddock, Pa. “How can you even pretend that this is anything other than you’re just breaking the law?”

“I am not woke,” he warned.
