Why Does Anyone Care About What Celebrities Wear to the Met Gala?

Why does the “news” continue to “report” on celebrities the way it does? Why do people eat it up? I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why anyone cares about people who make a living by being in the spotlight, being in the spotlight again. Or what they wear.

Right there on the homepage of at least two of the anchor news media sites- one Right and the other Left, we see photos of a celebrity with a headline about what they wore to the Met Gala.

Right up there with stories of the Trump trial, Israel, campus riots, and natural disasters.

Thank Goodness, right? I mean, could you even function today if you didn’t see a multi-millionaire actress who makes it a point to tell us how bad this country is, in a dress that probably cost more than your car?

The only group in America that receives more attention, placating, hero-worship, and free rein to bash our country is the radical segment of the LGBTQ community.

Well, I guess we have to add obnoxious, terrorists-in-training college students to that list now.

But seriously, the only reason these people even have a platform is because people pay attention to them.’So what if we just stopped shining that spotlight they can’t live without, on them?

What if we stopped propping them up by giving them a microphone to cry victim in, and what if we all just went about our business and treated them just like we treat one another in our everyday lives?

Or, what if we all reported on what we wear out?

Imagine a red carpet spotlight at the next school board meeting, with reporters gushing over ripped jeans and expensive purses?

The “news” is already anything but full of real news. It is already a carefully curated menu of whatever whomever is running this show deems stage worthy. We already have to work hard and dig around more obscure sites to find out about things like the genocide in Armenia and what the FDA is really doing to our food.

What if we replace celebrity drama and “fashion” with some actual news?

Jeff Bezos moved to Fla. and invested $60M into lab-grown meat — then Ron DeSantis banned it 🤣

New Florida residents Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez announced a $60 million initial investment into sustainable protein, including “cultivated meats” — just before Gov. Ron DeSantis barred the sale of lab-grown meat in the Sunshine State.

DeSantis signed the legislation, called SB 1084, into effect on May 1, casting it as a bid to stop the World Economic Forum’s goal of forcing the world to eat lab-grown meat and insects, “an overlooked source of protein,” according to a news release.

Rather, “Florida is increasing meat production, and encouraging residents to continue to consume and enjoy 100% real Florida beef,” the governor’s office added.

DeSantis previously has blasted “the global elite’s plan to force the world to eat meat grown in a petri dish or bugs to achieve their authoritarian goals.”
