A New Film Tells the Story of Surgeon Who Escaped Communist China and Transformed the Lives of Blind Orphans

Based on a true story, this is the American dream!

From the creators of ‘Sound of Freedom,’ ‘Sight’ is an inspiring new film premiering this Memorial Day weekend.

It tells the real-life story of a poor Chinese immigrant who fled communist China to become a world-renowned eye surgeon in the United States, performing life-altering eye surgeries for hundreds of blind orphans worldwide.

Dr. Ming Wang, based in Nashville, shared his journey with Fox News Digital, recounting how he arrived in America in 1982 with only $50 and a Chinese-English dictionary.

At age 14, he faced deportation to forced labor camps, and spent years in a fight to escape that fate. His mother was beaten nearly to death by the notorious Red Coats, and yet he and his family never gave up hope that life would offer an opportunity to them, to live free and full lives.

Despite facing poverty and language barriers, he found happiness in his newfound freedom. The biographical drama "Sight," produced by Angel Studios, depicts Wang's struggles growing up in 1970s China and his determination to become a doctor in America.

After enduring many hardships, Dr. Ming Wang invented a groundbreaking technology that has restored eyesight for millions worldwide.

Barb Allen interviewed Dr. Ming Wang a couple of years ago and his story is a powerful example of survival and the American Dream.

In this episode, Dr Wang shares his incredible story of enduring and surviving the Chinese Cultural Revolution, the extraordinary path that led him to America, and how he restores sight to the blind.

Elon Musk's Starlink Illuminates 99 Nations

Elon Musk announced that Starlink, SpaceX's satellite internet service, is now available in 99 countries, including Indonesia.

This expansion has been met with widespread praise and excitement, with users highlighting the potential for improved connectivity and access to information worldwide.

However, concerns were raised about the service's availability in certain regions, such as South Africa and Gaza, due to local policies and political issues.

The announcement also sparked discussions about the broader implications of Starlink's global reach, including its potential to bridge digital divides and its impact on internet access in remote areas.
